 CLUE #1

The ceremonial boat pictured below is one of several found buried at a site that contains three of the largest and most famous royal tombs ever known. The boat may have been used to carry the body of the deceased king down river to his burial. Or, the boat may have only been meant for use in the afterlife, to carry the king across the sky with the sun. The ancient people of our mystery country believed the afterlife mirrored life as they knew it before death. They were buried with items from their lives that would ensure them a comfortable and successful existence in eternity. 

 
CLUE #2

This building houses the modern version of one of the ancient world’s most extensive and valuable collections of scholarship, which was located in an important Greco-Roman city on the Mediterranean coast of our mystery country. The original was famously lost to fire in antiquity, along with vast stores of knowledge. The modern version opened in 2002. 

CLUE #3

This other-worldly landscape lies in the desert about six-hours west of our mystery country’s capital city. Crazy chalk formations are scattered throughout the nearly 4000 square km national park, only accessible by 4WD. Camping in the park is popular with visitors up for a little adventure.
