Now for this episode –

All the clues in this post refer to one Ya’lla Tours destination: Bahrain, Cuba, Egypt, Greece, Israel, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Turkey, or United Arab Emirates.

We’ll show you images of popular tourist sites in our mystery country, along with descriptions of those sites.

We would love to see your guesses in the comments section. We’ll be especially impressed if you identify the specific sites described and pictured in the clues.

CLUE #1

A highly venerated leader is entombed in this memorial in the capital city of our mystery country. The economic and social reforms initiated by this leader are the foundation of the prosperity and stability of the country today.

CLUE #2

From Neolithic times, our mystery country was home to many sophisticated civilizations. This museum in the capital city houses a rich collection of artefacts, including items from the largest and oldest known Neolithic settlement.

CLUE #3

This site is located in the southwest of our mystery country. It has been known for therapeutic waters at least since Roman times, when a city was built near the hot springs. The fantastical landscape is a result of limestone deposits from the hot springs.

Can you name that country?

Check out our next episode of Name That Country (Episode 3) for the answer.

    • Thanks for your guess Carol! Unfortunately, Egypt is incorrect.
Here’s another hint – our mystery country is more or less due north of Egypt and is one of the few countries to lie on two continents.
